The content of the Sounding Composition has an intuitive flow to it which makes it engaging. Although there is a constant repetition of phrases, terms, and concepts, this is not a distraction, but rather ingrains ideas more firmly which helps in understanding how all of the ideas are interrelated and work together. The only part of the book that does not have this logical flow is on page 16 and 17 of Chapter 1 where there is a small section about feminist rhetorical research and racial differences, and this conversation seems a bit out of place and forced; a connection with cultural difference is not discussed until later when it is reintroduced in the context of making sure sonic producers take into account that individuals react and hear differently.
